Rental Policies

A credit card is required at the time of reservation to guarantee your reservation. It will also be needed to be presented to the desk at The Company Store upon check-in, along with a valid government or state-issued photo identification. We accept payment for your stay in cash, debit card, Mastercard and Visa at check-in.
While we hope that you do not have to cancel, we understand that things happen. Confirmed reservations have the following cancellation policies: A cancellation notice is required in writing via email. Cancellations received within 14 days of arrival are subject to a penalty charge equivalent to one nights Cottage rate and taxes.
There is a two-night minimum stay from May 1st to November 15th, and a three-night minimum stay for long weekends and holidays throughout the year.
Seasons: Summer May: 1st – Oct 14th / Winter: October 15th – April 30th.
We are happy to welcome your 4-legged friends and family members into our Cottages. A flat rate charge of $60 per pet will be incurred. Two pets maximum per Cottage please.
Our Resort adheres to a smoke-free environment. All Cottages, their outdoor areas, and public spaces are non-smoking. A cleaning fee of $500 will be added to your bill for smoking cigarettes, cannabis and vaping e-cigarettes in or around your Cottage.
Parking is charged at $20 a night per vehicle throughout our summer season of May 1st to October 15th. During the winter Season, October 15th to April 30th, the rate is $10 a night per vehicle. You must register your vehicle with The Company Store. Each Cottage has a limit of 2 vehicles per stay. Should you arrive early to the Island and wish to enjoy the property prior to check-in at 4:00 pm, we would be happy to register your car on arrival.
There is a $75 Clubhouse fee if unit is used as a base for a group event.
Quiet hours are 10 pm through 8 am.
As our guest, you are liable for any damage caused, whether deliberate, negligent or reckless, to the Cottage(s) or property caused by you or all persons in your party. Cottages found in complete disorder will be subject to a maintenance deep cleaning fee, an administration fee and/ or third-party fees.
Should this damage come to light after guests have departed, we reserve the right to charge your credit card on file for any damage incurred during your stay, including and without limitation for property damage, missing or damaged items, smoking and/or cleaning fee.
If key are not provided upon check-out, a lost key fee of $250 will be charged.
The Union Steamship Marine Resort reserves the right to amend, modify, change or cancel prices at our discretion. Rates are set annually on May 1st. Should your reservation fall after May 1st in a given year, please contact us directly to confirm current rates.
